I haven't cooked with Brown Beech mushrooms before, but they were fun!
I found a recipe (unfortunately I'm not sure where), but it was something like this:
- Sautee mushrooms in 2 tbsp butter (I also did a bit of olive oil) for ~10 minutes
- Add minced garlic, sautee for 1 minute more
- Add 1/2 cup of chicken broth (I used white wine) and let that cook off (maybe 10 minutes more)
- Turn off the heat and stir in another 2 tbsp of butter
The mushrooms turned out great! I also cooked up pasta with pulled pork (from The Kitchn's Pulled Pork), just dumped cooked pasta on top of warming pulled pork. It wrapped up most of a week of different pasta dishes (a ragu, this pulled pork), and it was on to something different right after.
Boy this picture would have looked better with some grated parmesan on top of the pasta. I'm pretty sure that went on right after I snapped this picture.
